Botox and Dysport  are injectible wrinkle agents.  They are FDA approved for use in  frown lines, crow's feet, and forehead areas. While Botox is a well know product, Dysport is it's competitor.  Botox is manufactured by Allergan.  Dysport is a product of Ipsen/Medicis.  Both injectables are refined forms of Botulinum toxin type A.

This is an office procedure.  A small amount of topical numbing cream is placed on the injections sites.  Then very small quantities of Botox/Dysport is place just beneath the skin at the muscles.  You can return to work or home just after the procedure.

Within a few days, you will have diminished abilities to frown, scowl, or squint.  When the muscles relax, the wrinkles lessen.  These treatments last 3-4 months.
